Milkha Singh, a former Indian sprinter who competed in numerous championships, including the Olympics, succumbed to COVID-19 and died. When he died, the seasoned athlete was 91 years old. Messages of condolence are pouring in from all across the world. Nandamuri Balakrishna, a Telugu actor, paid a heartfelt homage to the senior athlete. "This is devastating news. Today, we lost a legend #FlyingSikh. Milkha Singh is no longer with us...You showed us how to run while India was still figuring out how to walk after freedom. You instilled in us the ability to dream large and then pursue those aspirations against the odds. You will continue to inspire future generations. Thank you for providing years of pride and honor to the entire country of India's flag. Our hero will always be you. Forever, the nation will remember you and draw inspiration from your life.
